They didn't know, but God knew

I was sitting on my bass amp in a garage where my old band used to practice.

Monica and I must have been at our 4 month mark together when someone told me, 'Its just a fling, your relationship is nothing serious.'

It really did upset me at that time. Even though the relationship was very young and I did not know whether or not it would last, my heart was invested and I was looking to be in it for the long haul.

Today while at work I thought about how the 21st of this month would mark

the half a decade anniversary of Monica and I being together as a couple.

Not only that, but 5 years after that comment was made, Monica and I are married.

So I see that this negative comment this person made was very wrong, and although I did not know where this relationship would go, God very much knew. I am so glad this person was wrong and thank God for bringing me my awesome wife today.
